Ok, well I thought I might give this thing a try. I'm pretty good about keeping a journal, so maybe some human input will make it even better. Where to start? Well, my name is Ashley. I live in Owatonna, MN. I'm married and I have a little girl. My family is everything to me. If I ever lost my family, I wouldn't be able to move on. I'd probably become a vegetable or something.

I recently found out that i have cervical cancer. It's been pretty rough. I find out my test results in less than a week. I'm terrified. I'm a little excited too though because it might not be that bad; just a little minor surgery and it's all gone and I never have to worry about it again. My husband is really upset, and my daughter can't seem to grasp the concept that Mommy is sick. So it's been pretty rough. My cancer is caused by a virus called the Human Papilloma Virus, or HPV. That's the virus that the Pap smear is looking for, and the virus that causes cervical cancer and genital warts. The good news is that there's a vaccine.  Ladies, make sure you get vaccinated! It can save your life!

I need find more friends that aren't from around here. I'm tired of the same old every daything. I want to live while I still have life in me. I need people to talk to, that I can count on to be there for me when I need them. That's something I don't have right now.
